A Contract EMEA VAT Analyst is required by this retail group based in Hayes, Middlesex. Working in their European HQ and reporting to the EMEA Tax Manager the EMEA VAT Analyst will play a key role in administering on a wide range of VAT technical system issues as well as liaising and assisting general VAT compliance with queries.

 

Main Duties of the EMEA VAT Analyst Role are :

 

•Assisting on VAT matters, working closely with the EMEA Tax manager and developing good relationships with internal stake holders.

 

•Configure VAT matrix tables according to flows and business requirements.

 

•Trouble-shoot errors from the Ordering system related to VAT configuration

 

•Research and analysis under the guidance & supervision of EMEA tax management.

 

•Monitoring deadlines and obligations.

 

•Assist Tax manager with responding on ad hoc VAT queries

 

•Ad hoc jobs as required

 

•Provide support on relevant system development projects which impact tax

 

•Helping the Indirect Tax Compliance Lead identify and drive improvements within the team

 

•Ensuring compliance with EU VAT rules

 

•Reconciliation of SAP VAT accounts due to the systems changeover

 

•Supporting the VAT Manager with the pan European VAT compliance process, including working closely with the outsourced advisors

 

•Ensuring VAT data and logistics systems are aligned

 

•A good understanding of VAT determination tables in the ERP

 

•Managing Tax projects relating to preparation to VAT audits and interrogating SAP or system data

 

•Intercompany Invoicing analysis to ensure correct VAT codes are used and correct treatment applied.

 

•Assisting the Tax manager for VAT system implementation support.

 

The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of European VAT legislation, possess good system skills (Excel) and in return will receive a daily rate of between £150-£180 per day. The contract is expected to last at least 6 months.
