Working for a large and successful Law Firm who are constantly expanding and have a number of sites. This is an exciting time to join and be a part of their progression for their Thirsk office.

YOUR NEW JOB...

This role is a full time permanent opportunity based within their Conveyancing department

General

• Open files - Make initial calls to clients prior to file opening to obtain any missing information required
• Process questionnaires from clients – enter data onto system and contact clients for any missing information
• Deal with payment in of disbursement cheques
• Ensure that requests for wills, financial services or surveyor recommendations are brought to the attention of the Fee Earners

Purchases

• Carry out initial searches and download results
• Send out report on mortgage with mortgage deed for signature
• Exchange contracts
• Deal with all post exchange formalities
• Prepare files for completion
• Deal with completion formalities
• Complete post completion registration or prepare file to pass to post completions assistant

Sales

• Prepare contract pack
• Write to lender for initial redemption figure
• Send out contracts to clients for signature prior to exchange
• Where appropriate to experience and matter type take clients instructions and reply to enquiries
• Exchange contracts
• Deal with all post exchange formalities
• Prepare files for completion
• Deal with completion formalities
• Prepare file for closure as soon as possible after completion

General

• To make appropriate recommendations for service improvement.
• To attend department at meetings, as required.
• To undertake any other appropriate duties as may be required.
• To attend training/refresher courses as required by the Department Head


To apply for this role we are looking for somebody who has great typing ability, preferably somebody who has audio typing experience and somebody that has previous experience within a Conveyancing dept.

WHATS ON OFFER…

Working Hours - Monday to Friday 9am - 5.30pm
Salary - up to £18K
