Our client is a multi national manufacturer of wiring products for the automotive and aerospace industries. They require machine operators to work in their facility in Swindon. As a W&C Production Your primary duties and responsibilities whilst at work will be as follows: You will work within the team, performing the various stages of wire production as defined by the Company(Lean Manufacturing), Quality, Safety, General Standards and Company Procedures. You will work to a manufacturing schedule and notify supervision of any issues that may affect the completion of the schedule. You will contribute to the continuous improvement of processes, procedures and quality within the department. You will comply with training procedures and keep abreast of updates to General Standards You will participate in internal / external training programmes which are relevant to the role and your personal development plan. You will have an awareness and accountability of sources of waste that impacts the business. You will carry out any other duties as designated by your manager. Suitable candidates will be able to demonstrate the following skills and attributes: You will be able to demonstrate the ability to follow procedures, You will be able to read and follow manufacturing specifications and follow quality standards. You will conduct effective handovers to maintain workflow. You will have experience of working to Quality Management Systems. You will have experience of working to Quality Productivity Systems. You will have experience of working to Work Instructions / methods. You will have good numeracy and literacy skills. You will have a logical methodical approach to the given task. You will be prepared to learn new skills. You will demonstrate excellent timekeeping and attendance. You will demonstrate flexibility and be prepared to learn new skill. You will have basic computer literacy skills. The shifts we have available are early and late rotating, fixed nights, or a weekend shift consisting of 3 x 12 hour shifts over Saturday and Sunday along with either a Monday or Tuesday.
