Our Occupational Therapist role involves:

Being aware of and have regard for the Standards of Practice from the College of Occupational Therapy and other statutory bodies in relation to professional matters.
Participating as a full member of the multi-disciplinary team in the assessing, planning, implementation and evaluation of individual treatment and rehabilitation plans liaising other relevant agencies as appropriate.
Providing ongoing monitoring, support and assessment of residents' physical and psychological needs.
Promoting personal and social skills and leisure activities for all residents.
Liaising with relatives and carers with empathy giving information, support and advice whenever and as often as required.
Maintaining concise records and providing reports as necessary for each resident's case review.
Undertaking assessment of daily living skills to identify level of functional ability, risks and level of support needed.
Liaising with appropriate outside organisations for equipment provision e.g wheelchair services.
Ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of all Occupational Therapy equipment.
Ensuring all Professional, mandatory and other training courses are kept up to date as relevant to this post.
