HEALTH AND SAFETY MANAGER ROLE

We have an opportunity for an experienced Health and Safety Officer to work for a well-known retailer. This is a key role within the company and it will be your responsibility to keep the committed staff safe and sound across 12 sites around the UK. If you have 3+ years health and safety experience within a distribution or retail environment, apply now!

Responsibilities of the role:

* Develop and implement key H&S policies and procedures across the company
* Ensure that all sites are adhering to H&S regulations through site inspections, thorough training and key relationships
* Ability to confidently chair H&S meetings with key stakeholders
* Ensure all products adhere to most recent legislation
* Knowledge of PUWER and LOLER
* Confidently advise the board and managers on the best H&S practice
* Carry out routine H&S activities such as inspections, investigations, evaluations, assessments (COSHH) and audits
* Manage health and safety risk on each site
* Manage health and safety across 12 sites

Desired characteristics:

* Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately with various levels of staff
* Build key relationships across the company to ensure the best H&S practice
* Confident in your ability to improve H&S
* Approach H&S in a creative and dynamic way
* Ability to empower others and influence the correct practice
* Passionate and Driven

Essential qualifications:

* NEBOSH
* CDM
