Credit Control Agent - Commercial Lender
We are currently working with a rapidly growing commercial lending business who now have a an exciting and brand new role available, for an experienced credit controller, with commercial lending experience to join them in their Altrincham office.
Our client is a privately funded bridging lender and offer first charge bridging & re-bridging loans on non-owner occupied residential and commercial properties with loans from £27,500 to £5,000,000+, and provide fantastic career opportunities for ambitious professionals!
They have a variety of different handcrafted products available to borrowers needing bridge or rebridge finance; from a simple loan to fund the purchase or refinance of a property, where they can offer up to 80% of the value of the property, to a loan for a heavy refurbishment project where they can offer up to 100% of the purchase price and 100% of the refurbishment costs.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the assigned loans by managing the critical path agreed for the loan each month and ensuring that the loans are redeemed within the loan period and in line with the facility agreement. Where the borrower falls into payment default, fails to adhere to the critical path agrees or the loan is not redeemed in full, you will be required to act promptly and efficiently to communicate this to management to protect the company's money.
You will be responsible for keeping telephone contact on a monthly basis with all current live loans, or more frequently where risk dictates. Instruct and oversee legal collection when required in line with the collection policy as well as assisting in the monitoring and communicating with 'late payers' to ensure payments are made in line with pre-agreed payment arrangements or bought up to date to avoid a point of default. You will also be required to manage loans in line with the pre-agreed critical path, immediately highlighting expected late redemptions to allow proactive management of the loan and to monitor all development cost critical pathway dates and actions, and communicate with the Asset Manager or Quantity Surveyor where appropriate.
To be considered for this role, you must have at least 1 years commercial finance credit control experience.
Salary on offer is £25-30k, dependant on experience, although if you have a property management background as well, then there may be room to go higher.
