Deputy CFO Band 9
My Public Sector client, and NHS Commissioning organisation is now looking to recruit a permanent Deputy Chief Finance Officer.
The postholder will work with the CCG Governing Body and commissioning managers to develop strategies and plans that will deliver sustainable, high quality services within affordable levels. The postholder will proactively provide advice through research, analysis and review on complex financial issues facing the organisation. The role will ensure the provision of high quality, relevant and timely information that meets the needs of the CCG.
The postholder will require involvement in wider performance management issues and will ensure the highest standards of corporate governance and probity are maintained.
The postholder will work across organisational boundaries engaging a diverse range of stakeholders crucial to the successful outcomes of the CCG and be part of a team that will deliver across a wide range of complex financial management, contracting and performance management processes, with line management responsibility.
The postholder will be extremely flexible to meet the needs of the CCG within a rapidly changing environment and as such the scope of the role is likely to grow and/or change.
The postholder will have a complex set of multidisciplinary working relationships with NHS, public sector and commercial organisations including Clinical Leaders, Chief Officers, Chief Operating Officers Commissioning Support Unit, Public Health Specialists, Local Authority Senior Teams, as well as liaison with NHS England. Engagement with the NHS Commissioning Board, and nationally with very senior staff, is necessary to drive the ongoing development of CCG.
The postholder will also represent the Chief Finance Officer as required, including at Board and relevant sub-committees.
