Job Title: Workshop Manager
Location: Shrewsbury
Start Date: April 2018

My Client who are a vehicle maintenance company is currently seeking for an experienced Workshop Manager.

The main responsibilities within this role will be to manage and maintain the efficient running of the workshop in order to meet the required timescales and deadlines.

The ideal candidate will be someone who's:
*An organised individual with enthusiasm within their job
*Had commercial background experience
*Commercially or sales astute
*Able to demonstrate good leadership and management skills at all times

Essential Skills include:
*To control the flow of work through the workshop ensuring all staff are kept productive and efficient at all times and the requirements of the business are met including achieving the relevant timescales
*Utilise industry knowledge to generate new business.
*Provide technical support and advice where necessary exploring innovative solutions to problem repairs.
*Provide a safe working environment for staff. Robustly monitor safety behaviours and provide by your own example that safety is a high priority in this business.
*To assist with training and development of the skilled staff and apprentice's including checking and sign off their work where relevant.
*Ensure all vehicle inspections and repairs are to VOSA standards and in line with manufacture / company procedures and ensure all vehicles are compliant for use.
*Comply with Depot specific health and safety rules and regulations and ensure the correct PPE is worn/used throughout and report any failings through the reporting procedure.
*Maintain a clean and tidy working environment and ensure all tooling and specialist equipment is checked, tested and compliant in line with company policy.
*Maintain sufficient security measures to prevent theft of company/personal property during and after normal working hours
*Highlight any shortfalls or issues relating to safety or maintenance immediately to the Operations Manager using your own initiative to take corrective action in the first instance to prevent harm.
