This is an opportunity for candidates who have several years’ experience in production/manufacturing industries.

The successful candidates will have HND/BEng. in Manufacturing or related

discipline with 3-5 years’ experience in a high technology manufacturing

environment . The main function of work is to design and sustain the manufacturing

line and to ensure that the existing and new products and manufactured in a cost effect way.

Responsibilities will be as follows:

  • Managing the manufacturing line and providing engineering support to the Engineering Design and R&D project teams and coordination of new products transfer to manufacturing, considering manufacturability and efficiency of processes.

  • Identifying production problems / deficiencies and ability to use a methodical system to solve problems.

  • Maintaining accurate documentation of assembly and production concepts, designs, drawings, and processes as well as optimising the manufacturing processes.

  • Participating in design, implementation and qualification of new or modified manufacturing and test equipment by identifying the best design option to achieve the specified requirements and implementation dates.

  • Supporting company goals, objectives, policies and regulatory requirements.

  • Liaising with suppliers as well as participating in design, construction, and validation of tooling manual, semi-automated, and automated assembly fixtures.

  • The successful candidate is expected to have experience in writing Work Instructions and designing new manufacturing tools in 2D and 3D CAD. Understanding of modern manufacturing techniques, cellular manufacture, kanban, kaisen, 5S.

  • Quality orientation and high attention to detail.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Problem analysis and problem resolution skills.

  • Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Able to clearly present ideas and reports in written and verbal format.

  • Good time management, planning and negotiation skills.
