Product Engineer (Microsoft IT Infrastructure Products)
Product Engineer (Microsoft IT infrastructure SaaS products)
Package: £60,000 + Excellent benefits
Based in Maidenhead (5mins from the train station, 25mins from London!)
There are plenty of Microsoft IT infrastructure focused Product roles along the M4 corridor and in a market that is so contract dominated, we realise it's going to take a rare opportunity to tempt the cream of the crop on a permanent basis. So here goes. Do you feel bored in your current role and want to get involved with something more exciting? Do you want to work with a company who aren't a faceless organisation, but rather a highly successful tech savvy, funky, fast growing software provider? Do you want to work with an in demand product that Microsoft themselves use and recommend to their partners as an easier solution to improve one of their own tools?! (That got you interested didn't it!!) Then read on.
Where you will work
A real technical success story, our client have already outgrown their first office and have recently into new offices based in the middle of Maidenhead. They are 5mins from the train station and 25mins from London, so if you would prefer an idyllic country setting instead of the city rat race, then this could be for you. I've seen some pretty cool places from a working environment perspective but this one is right up there. They want your working week to be fun, so a fully stocked whiskey bar (for after work of course!), ping pong rooms, video walls and if you are into Star Wars then you'll love the décor and memorabilia. They surely know how to wind down with games nights, poker nights and it's a real friendly environment inside and outside of work. No know it all's in suits bossing you around, just a bunch of cool and passionate people who love to work in tech. Hopefully that sets the scene a bit.
Who you will work with
They are a software company that are doing big things around Microsoft monitoring platforms. They deal with some of the world's biggest companies and due to their software product being an outstanding success, they have managed to attract some of the savviest tech talent and have grown from 9 to 29 in a short space of time and are still growing! You will get the chance to work with cutting edge kit and the chance to learn from some of the sharpest minds in tech. Our client are hoping to be on the next Tech Track 100 to give you an idea of their growth plans.
What you will do
Working as a Product Engineer, you'll play a key part in setting technical expectation and educating customers on what the product can do and how it will solve a problem that many large enterprise and blue chip clients face and who have already purchased to help improve their Microsoft application monitoring tools. As mentioned, Microsoft themselves adopted the product and are advising their partners to do the same. That's where you come in. The role will have limited need for travel as much of the customer contact can be managed via remote communications, video walkthroughs, blogs & webinars - although you will get the chance to travel to some decent places on global exhibitions and conferences.
So, who are you?
You'll be a product evangelist and have that blend between technical knowledge, and customer facing commercial savviness, which means you will have worked in pre-sales before (Or it has been part of your wider role). You'll come from a Microsoft-centric technology stack background
What you will earn
If money is the main driver for you, then you probably aren't what we are looking for but the role pays £60,000. We aren't looking for a cheap fix, but likewise our client aren't a faceless organisation back by private investors. They are a true success tech start up so are masters of their own destiny and not accountable to backers looking for a quick return. You will be paid well for your experience, but as mentioned, if money is your driver, you probably aren't for us. We want someone who has a passion for technology and who realises the potential of this product and takes this passion to the market.
Excellent Benefits including 25 days holiday + bank holidays, company bonus, pension training and other perks such as great coffee, table football, craft beer fridge, sit-stand desks, XBOX and access to latest gadgets such as Oculus Rift & HoloLens
If this sounds like you, or you would like to find out more about this opportunity, then give us a call. We are keen to understand who you are and like to do this via telephone. You can also send a copy of your CV to this advert with your contact details and we will call you. If at that point we are both happy to proceed, then we will work together with you and support you throughout your application and interview.
Looking forward to hearing from you!
