We are looking for an IT Operations Analyst (Analyst, Support) to joinour Service Management team within Exeter IT. You will be supporting theIncident & Service Improvement Manager in the investigation andrestoration of normal operations as quickly as possible with the leastimpact on the business or the user. This will include the systematicanalysis of problems and root causes to prevent incidents fromhappening, eliminate recurring incidents, and minimise the impact ofincidents that you cannot prevent. The IT Operations Analyst (Analyst, Support) role: - You will support the Incident & Service Improvement Manager(ISIM) in the development and continuous improvement of a creative andcustomer focussed service through the measurement and analysis ofservices to produce greater consistency and efficiency. - You will implement a broad variety of complex problem solvingactivities, implement standard methodology incident management actionsand you will analyse specific or recurring incidents to identify rootcauses and design workarounds and resolutions. - In support of the ISIM, you will respond to high severity incidentsand events across the IT service supply chain to minimise disruption andfocus IT staff and technical authorities to concentrate on speedy resolutions. - Develop and maintain a database of known issues, causes andresolutions in the content management system, and issue guidance todevelopment teams and support teams to minimise the impact of incidentsand service outages. - You will also provide mentorship and supervision to more juniorcolleagues where appropriate. You will: - Have a working knowledge of continual service improvement practicesand leading or working on change projects. - Good planning and organisation skills. - Be a keen problem solver with demonstrable skills, and a methodical approach. - Have demonstrated experience of the review and diagnosis andsuccessful delivery of solutions to complex problems in a measured andcreative way. - Experience of working in problem and incident management within an ITenvironment is also desirable.
