Initiate, develop and sustain relationships with mid-level donors with the goal of fostering a greater partnership between WVUK and each donor. To provide a nurturing bed for potential major donors and cultivate their giving journey until they are ready to make more transformative gifts (and upgrade into the Major Donor Pool).

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Generating income from mid value donors: Managing a caseload of 1000 donors you will proactively work with the top 100 to secure gifts using the telephone to build relationships and ultimately, ask for donations (£500+) for specific projects or areas of work of WV which are aligned to their interests. Research in this context would involve understanding the supporters giving relationship with World Vision to date and identifying any trends, passions and donor interests. This would be done in liaison with the team Prospect Researcher.
  • Meet or exceed annual fund-raising goal through the cultivation of mid-level donor relationships.
  • Plan and implement account management and moves management strategies to ensure assigned donors are cultivated towards their full giving potential, leading them towards becoming major donors to the organization when appropriate.
  • Develop long-term relationships through personal interaction with donors on assigned account list, while shaping donor interest in WV mission as well as connecting donor interests with WV areas of work.
  • Leverage current donors’ networks to locate new giving prospects capable of becoming major donors to WV.
  • Affirm donors, identify interests, share information on WV programs and solicit financial Donations.

2. Donor stewardship and development: Ensure donors are properly thanked and recognised for their gifts, and to ensure they are on a unique supporter journey (through use of telephone, email, hand written notes and letters). Helping donors to understand the difference that their gift is making. Be confident and willing to talk to supporters about their faith, their generosity as a response to the love of God and offer to pray for people where appropriate. Be the representative of the WV brand to our supporters.

3. Administration: Financial management including making sure gifts are properly allocated, monthly reporting on income, upkeep of database.
