SCIAF (Scottish Catholic International Aid Fund) work tirelessly to help the poorest and most disadvantaged communities in the world and have done so since 1965. They instantly respond to emergency appeals, such as the Rohingya crisis, to avert a humanitarian catastrophe. SCIAF also work determinedly for 12 months of the year in 16 different countries to provide life-saving, life-changing programmes. With a focus on sustainability, the charity seek to give people in need a hand-up rather than a hand-out, by providing the skills and tools communities need they help them to thrive, not just survive. At home, their work is rooted in Catholic Social Teaching and engaging with Parishes and their communities across Scotland. SCIAF are now one of Scotland’s biggest and most respected charities. To meet their aspirations to do even more, SCIAF are looking for an experienced Trusts and Grants Officer who is creative and highly-motivated with excellent communication skills. The successful candidate will make their mark on the organisation, driving forward this new income stream for the charity and lending their communication skills to the wider fundraising team.
