An exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to work with our Grants & Trusts Manager to support the future growth plans of a dynamic and growing charity.

OnSide has one simple aim: to build a network of 21st century Youth Zones, giving young people safe and inspiring places to go in their leisure time; see what this means in the video above. We have over 30,000 young people who are members of the ten open Youth Zones, including 3,500 young disabled people engaged, with the next phase of openings to include three Youth Zones in London. Youth Zones are open seven days a week, with state-of-the-art facilities for a wide range of sporting, artistic and recreational activities. OnSide has already raised £100 million of funding, including from prestigious Trusts and Foundations, and is now one of the Lord Mayor’s Appeal Charities in London.

The Role

This role involves assisting the Grants & Trusts Manager in making the case for funding, building relationships with donors and generating an active pipeline of projects to secure income streams. The successful candidate will work on funding applications for up to six or seven figure capital and revenue grants. As the role is new within OnSide, there will be scope for development and progression.

The Person

You will have experience of bid writing within a professional setting and presenting complex information clearly and concisely, together with an ability to cultivate and maintain relationships to secure funding. With strong communication and research skills, you are able to prioritise tasks and work calmly under pressure to meet multiple deadlines.

Please apply by CV and cover letter.

Closing date for applications: 12noon, Monday 5 March 2018

Assessment day: Tuesday 13 March 2018
