Java Developer - J2EE - Spring - Hibernate - Agile - Payments

You will posses modern java development practices and continuous integration experience. Experience of working with new tools in version control, defect management, build & CI.

Proven technical experience and broad knowledge of the following:

  • Core Java 7+
  • Test frameworks
  • Spring
  • ORM - Hibernate
  • XML and associated processing technologies
  • J2EE technologies
  • JEE application servers
  • Automation of Test Scripts
  • BDD/TDD
  • Selenium

Good experience and good knowledge of:

  • Oracle 11g+ and PL/SQL
  • Unix like systems

Ability to analyse and resolve the challenging problems to a successful outcome.

Strong experience of working within Agile frameworks (e.g. Scrum, Kanban, Lean, SAFe, LeSS, DAD, Nexus, etc).

You will have a solid range of technical skills and domain knowledge to undertake a wide range of tasks including: Responsible for the implementation of multi million pound national payment processing services in line with the agreed enterprise architecture and designs. Recognised as senior members of distributed teams of between 5-60 people, responsible for ensuring designs and implementations meet the business/customer requirements within the specified SLA's. Responsible for ensuring implemented code is in accordance with defined quality and coding standards, design and architectural principles. Delivery of any assigned tasks within specified timelines, to the expected quality. Responsible for providing high level task estimates, for future IT propositions based on solution overview documents. Provide technical inputs to support business units to be able to respond to external queries, RFI's and RFP's. To understand and adhere to the company IT methodology. This includes proactively raising timely exceptions/risks/issues, driving a culture of continuous improvement to raise the quality of deliverables. To carry out any other task associated with the role as reasonably requested.

Desirable:

Experience within the payments industry. Awareness of payments systems e.g. BACS, SEPA, SWIFT, LINK, Visa, FPS.
