Effective media relations are at the heart of everything we do and we’re always looking for opportunities to pitch our clients in to media. As part of WPP, we often partner with our sister agencies on fully integrated campaigns and so there is a chance to further grow your network and further your expertise in the integrated space. We are looking for an Intern / Junior Account Executive to work across several of our top tier clients. You will need to be confident in developing creative solutions that galvanise consumers into action. Keen to gain solid media relations experience and top-notch written skills are essential, as is the ability to multi-task and manage deadlines. Ideally, not essential, you will have some experience of working in an agency environment. Digital expertise and experience is also ideal. Requirements Organisational skills – able to manage workload across client accounts and effectively manage time, prioritising work and using support from team members Ownership and responsibility - able to take responsibility and be fully accountable for managing your tasks and projects, as well as overseeing day to day activity Managing client relationships – expected to learn how be a trusted counsellor and key contact for clients and must therefore demonstrate a mature and confident approach to client counsel and support Stakeholder engagement – you will have a an excellent understanding of how to protect clients’ licence to operate and enhance reputation Media relations – you will need to have/be prepared to learn a good understanding of how the media works and be able to tailor materials to suit different outlets – both social and traditional Writing skills – must write well and be able to draft basic written materials (briefings, short written documents, client reports, press releases) to a high standard. Creativity – expected to use insights and general knowledge to suggest innovative approaches to client campaigns and communication challenges
