We are currently looking for an IT Operational Security Analyst for a client based in Nottingham

The successful candidate will take on the following duties -

* Undertake account provisioning, de-provisioning and maintenance duties in relation to the Smart Metering environment, ensuring alignment with approval processes and defined roles.
* Undertake account recertification exercises in relation to agreed schedules.
* Own and manage security service monitoring processes to ensure undertaken in line with procedures and schedules. Act as a point of escalation.
* Act as a custodian for cryptographic key material where required.
* Facilitate key/certificate management activities to ensure they are undertaken in line with procedures and schedules.
* Hold key administrative roles in Smart Metering IT systems in order to ensure appropriate access controls are implemented and regular user access reviews performed.
* Maintain the key cryptographic material for Smart Metering securely ensuring the processes are defined and followed
* Perform a 'check and challenge' role for activities undertaken in relation Smart Metering activities that warrant a level of segregation.
* Interface to other key Service Management processes
* Assisting with IT security impact assessments and penetration testing
* Ensuring security compliance of all working practices in the SMART metering space
* Administration and audit of Access Management

Experience Required

* Proven ability to review security architectures, high and low level designs
* Proven ability to work with business and technical analysts in defining security requirements and processes
* Extensive experience of working within and ITIL based service management function, preferably ITIL certified
* Experience of working with a CSIRT and security incident management aligned to ISO27035 if possible
* Must demonstrate an aptitude for understanding both business & technical risk
* Experience with application security and implementing security into software development lifecycles (SLDC)
* Proven ability to follow processes and procedures, improving content and outcome where opportunities arise.
* Ability to generate MI in an easily understood format where it identifies gaps and failures.
* Ability to delve into plans to understand the dependencies and impacts.
* Desire to seek advice and guidance following defined outcomes and feed that back as necessary and monitor delivery.
* Ability to build and extend a knowledge base to 'think for self' when a scenario reoccurs.
