Based at Stratford, East London / Sidcup, Kent
Starting salary £33,000 - £37,000pa depending on experience
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced policy expert to support all of the Operational teams across L&Q through the development and review of high quality policies and procedures. This includes policies relating to technical and building services, housing management, rent and income collection, housing management and care and support.
You will be experienced working with very technical and specialist stakeholders ensuring policies and procedures are drafted in line with legislation, regulatory and industry standards and best practice. You should be able to translate technical and complex processes and requirements into practical policy and procedures that provide our customers with high quality services.
You will be able to identify and evaluate the impact of external policy and regulatory change on our business, provide briefing and review policy and procedures as appropriate.
You will deliver policy review projects that take account of the costs, risks and opportunities of different review options. You will consult internal and external stakeholders and provide training and monitoring to ensure compliance.
To succeed in this position you will have excellent written and verbal communication skills able to draft briefings, policies and procedures in a clear and concise manner.
You will support internal customers through providing routine policy advice and identifying policy support needs, and you will help deliver resident engagement and involvement projects. You will need to be able to argue your policy positions and gain agreement at the highest levels in the organisaiton.
Successful candidates will bring a passion for delivering excellent customer service, be able to ensure customers are at the heart of the policy review process. They will evaluate the impact of the current offer and proposed changes on the customer, listening and representing their ‘voice’ to ensure that changes add customer value.
Appointed team members will work closely with colleagues in the Customer Insight team and the wider Operational Change team.
