We are currently working with a large primary school in the Nottingham area who are looking to fill a position for the remainder of the academic year that could potentially lead to you being offered a permanent role after this to start in September, for you to then complete your NQT year.

You will be responsible for a year 2 class. There is an amount of planning required and you must be capable of delivering high quality lessons consistently. You will have the advice and guidance of the fantastic head teacher, deputy head & the teachers throughout the school. Because of this you must have the will to learn!

The school is very popular within the community too therefore you must be able to build positive and friendly relationships with the parents and local governors too.

The ideal candidate will contain the following professional knowledge:

* Detailed knowledge of the statutory Early Years/KS1 and KS2 National Curriculum requirements where appropriate
* Ensures curriculum coverage, continuity and progression in the curriculum, for all pupils.
* Understands how pupil's learning is affected by their physical, intellectual, emotional and social development
* Uses a range of different delivery styles to meet the needs of the learners
* Successfully delivers inclusive practice to ensure equal opportunities for all.
* Uses assessment effectively to set clear targets for pupil achievement and to inform future learning
* Involves pupils in their own assessment and target setting

The successful candidate will:

* Have the ability and confidence to deliver engaging, well planned lessons
* The initiative to provide interventions in numeracy and literacy
* 6 months experience of teaching within primary schools in the UK
* Strong literacy and numeracy skills
* Enthusiasm for KS1/KS2
* A positive and hard working attitude, with the ability to push pupils to their full academic potential
* Ability to engage pupils in fun, informative lessons
* Be passionate when delivering lessons
