An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a leading manufacturers of building products.
This role will be based around the Reading area.

THE ROLE

- Your key responsibilities will be to provide mechanical support to ensure performance of all production and plant machinery.
You will be involved in the upkeep of various systems and equipment on site including daily tasks such as:-
- changing belts, bearings, gear boxes, motors, fabrication, welding, hydraulics and much more.
- Carrying out day to day maintenance, strip down, rebuilds, planned preventative maintenance on automated machinery.
- Ensure all items of automation machinery are running efficiently and safety through both mechanical and electrical maintenance.
- Carry out fault diagnosis (mechanical and electrical) and repairs.
- PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance)
- Optimise machinery availability to meet all operational demands
- To control the machines and installations.

THE CANDIDATE:

The suitable mechanical engineer will have completed an Apprenticeship/HNC/HND or equivalent in mechanical Engineering.
- You will posses a high standard of both electrical and mechanical knowledge
- Your experience can be gained from any automated manufacturing background but heavy industry experience would be a benefit.
- This position will be suitable for a dynamic, highly organized, team player looking to join a well established leader in the automation sector.
