Violence Prevention Programme Facilitator – West Sussex

Sessional Self-employed contract
£20 per hour

4-7 hours/week

Programme delivery will take place in the Crawley or Horsham area, likely to be on a regular weekday evening

The Violence Prevention Programme Sessional Facilitator will co-lead a structured programme with groups, working predominantly with men in a way that shows an understanding of domestic violence and its effects on women, and that prioritises the safety of the perpetrator’s (ex) partner and children.

In addition, you will collect information needed for monitoring purposes and take part in casework meetings with other Support Workers to ensure that women and children’s safety remain at the forefront of our work.

The successful candidate will have experience of providing one-to-one interventions or group work with men on the issues of violence and abuse towards women. You will have strong communication skills, particularly over sensitive and complex issues, and the ability to work as part of a team and manage your own administration.

You will have an understanding of the range of models used in addressing this behaviour and preferably have experience of liaising with social workers or other professionals, and have an understanding of the criminal justice system and the legal options available to victims of domestic abuse.
