New role: Assembly Fitter/Mechanical Pump Build.

Would you be confident at assembling precision engineered Components and Pumps within a precision engineering machining and assembly environment?

Are you hands on and competent at reading engineering drawings? Can you follow work instructions/methods to assemble?

Do you have an engineering background/education and interest with a drive to lead and supervise fellow Assembly Fitters once trained?

If you have strong mechanical fitting skills, and the drive to lead and develop an assembly department than this may be the ideal opportunity for you.

Overview:

Working in first class modern purpose built manufacturing facilities, we now require a Lead Assembly Fitter.

You will be tasked and trained to assemble machined metal components and pumps to a high standard in a demanding precision engineering environment.

The basics:

Location: Heanor

Hours: Mon-Thur 7:30am-4:30pm and Fri 7:30am-1:30pm

Salary: Negotiable dependent on experience £23,000-£28,000

The role:

You will be part of the Assembly department and lead fellow mechanical assembly fitters/pump builders.

Duties will include:

* Assemble precision engineered components and pumps using hand tools.
* Reading engineering drawings and method to manufacture instructions to assemble components manufactured on site.
* Once trained - you will be tasked to lead a small team of assembly fitters - this will involve prioritizing workloads, leading projects, 5s and continuous improvement activities.

The ideal Lead Assembly Fitter will have as many of the following in order to strengthen application:

* A mechanical engineering/fitting/machine/pump building background - you must be competent at mechanical builds, using mechanical hand tools associated in a pump build and CNC Precision engineering environment.
* 5S, Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement background
