Job Title; Shift Engineer
Key Skills; Shift Engineer, Multi Skilled Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, Maintenance Technician, Machine Engineer, Machine Service Technician
Salary; £29,000- £37,000 per annum dependent on experience
Shift; 12 hour Shifts 7-7 following a set shift pattern, mixture of days and nights
Location; Northamptonshire
Commutable From; Wellingborough, Higham Ferrers, Kettering, Burton Latimer, Bedford and Rushden

Our client, a leading manufacturer based in Northamptonshire is looking to recruit a Shift Engineer to join their busy team.This is an exciting opportunity for you to forge a career within the manufacturing industry with an established and progressive company.

The Role;
Conduct repairs and maintenance of all machinery on site including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic to a high standard
Carry out modifications to machine controls and documents; update drawings as required
Undertake reactive and preventative maintenance on all plant equipment and machinery in line with the TPM plan
Contribute and actively participate in continuous improvement activities
Carry out offline repairs to spare parts to ensure availability for continued production
Assist with stock control of parts and materials
Ensure all company procedures are followed as necessary
Ensure housekeeping is to the correct quality standard through use of the housekeeping assessment system in line with cells of excellence
Demonstrate at all times a proactive and flexible approach and to carry out any other reasonable duties as and when directed by the Production Shift Manager/Engineering Manager

Our Ideal Candidate;
Capable of working as part of a team with relatively little supervision and using own initiative
Enthusiastic with a positive attitude and a willingness to listen and learn
Flexible with the ability to follow instruction and work in a high paced environment
Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
Electrical installation experience [working to 17th edition an advantage] with some working knowledge of PLCs and HMI control systems
Ability to work with electrical engineering drawings
A strong electrical background preferably with a recognised qualification such as City & Guilds, ONC or NVQ certificate (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Maintenance
A working knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics.
