With manufacturing facilities located UK and Europe, we now require a Senior Maintenance Engineer to organise the day-to-day activities of the Maintenance team.

Salary: £35,525

Hours/Shift: Mon-Fri 37.5hr week 9am-5pm

Benefits: Private Healthcare/Death in service/Pension/28 days holiday
Location: Lancaster
Background required: Previous experience working as a maintenance engineer within a manufacturing environment. Ideally worked at Team leader or supervisory level or with the capacity and knowledge to plan and organise a maintenance department.

The ideal Senior Maintenance Engineer will have as many of the following in order to strengthen application

* Time served apprentice trained
* Previously worked at Team Leader or Supervisory level OR have the drive and capacity to step up into a senior role and plan engineering work activities
* An influential engineer and have an understanding of the latest maintenance techniques.
* Must be PC literate.

* Both Mechanical and Electrical engineers will be considered for this role - please apply whether you are electrical or mechanical biased.

Key duties/responsibilities:

* Help establish Maintenance Engineering strategies to achieve the overall plant reliability.
* Help develop the PPM system ensuring checks and repairs are carried out on time and effectively by the shift engineers.
* This role will be 50% hands on 50% office based - organising/planning
* Monitor spares for critical equipment to ensure a fast response to breakdowns.
* Promote effective communication between internal / external teams
* Maintain a positive Health, Safety and environmental culture in all staff and contractors on site.
* Coach, mentor and support all team members to optimise their performance
