Company Accountant

All round experienced Accountant from preferably a small business environment, the candidate can be qualified by experience.

Job Description:
• Bookkeeping and Management Accounts for the Company
• Reconciling Accounts
• Preparing Journals and journal entries
• Preparation of Accounts up to P&L and Trial Balance
• Reconciling the bank accounts and credit card statement
• Allocation of bank payments/receipts onto QuickBooks
• Input of Purchase Invoices
• Preparing quarterly VAT returns
• Forecast/Budgets Schedules
• All Bank Payment runs Sterling + Euros/Dollars via foreign exchange company
• Payroll Liaison with Accountants
• Quarterly P&L Review against Forecast/Budgets
• Main contact for IT Support (via liaison with external IT support company)
• Responsible for all Insurance policies and renewals
• QuickBooks support
• Excel - experience in data extraction (i.e. export from QuickBooks)
• Accountant liaison including annual submission of financials in prep for Annual Accounts
• Cash-flow reporting
• Vehicle Contract Hire contracts
• Debt Chasing Statements/Solicitors letters

Person Specification:
Experience in Bookkeeping / Management Accounts
Ideally either HND/Degree level or accounts part qualified in one of the following disciplines, CIMA, ACCA or ATT
Strong IT skills
Knowledge of QuickBooks in a stock environment (desirable)
Competent Excel user to include data export from accounts system
Experience in the upgrading of an accounts package

Additional Information:
Based in Leatherhead
£35,000 - £40,000
Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5:30pm
23 days holiday + bank holiday
FREE onsite parking
