This is a new role for my client, leading a team of four to create a high performing team of business professionals in a sales and marketing environment. Reporting directly to the MD, the successful candidate will have the ability to evaluate, strategize and put into operation the right support activities to further accelerate this already successful business.

Key Objectives

* To develop and implement a strategy for the business support team aligned to the company's overall objectives and targets, supporting the objectives of key business functions
* Responsible for the successful delivery of all business support functions for the Group
* Motivate and actively coach the Business Support Team members
* Promote and initiate the highest levels of Quality, Safety and Environmental focus in the development of these business areas

Key Duties and Responsibilities

* Identify and manage the development of business support functions to support the sales and marketing environment
* Effectively manage all aspects of the business support team budget
* Assisting the MD and directors in the development of budgets and the business plan, supporting the management in building and setting targets for the business
* Prepare and submit business management reports as required on business activities.
* Attend monthly management meetings to report on progress of the business support team
* Focus on developing IT systems, processes and behaviours
* Ensure through effective and planned supervision and guidance that all reporting staff understand the objectives and philosophy of the company
* Plan and implement effective staff assessments
* Deliver effective communication strategies with reporting staff
* Responsible for the training and development and coaching of reporting staff to maximise performance levels.

Key Skills and Experience required

* Candidates must be educated to degree level (or equivalent) in a Business Management related subject
* Strong IT skills required, along with high level of mathematics and English Language skills
* Experience leading a team within a B2B sales and marketing team essential
* Experience in budget planning forecasting and management essential
* Experience in Quality control systems and process improvement essential
* Experience in preparing and analysing business management reports essential
* Strong communication skills at all levels
* Skilled in staff management and people development
* Ability to identify and understand wider business needs
* Ability to plan workload according to strict reporting deadlines and business targets
* Maintain knowledge of all necessary IT systems and processes

The successful candidate will have a strong desire to make a difference in this role, and will have a creative, commercially honed mind-set. Travel will be required through the UK and potentially Europe, and candidates must hold a full driving licence.

Hours of work: Monday - Friday, 9.00am - 5.00pm

Holidays: 25 days + bank holidays
