Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 plus highly attractive benefits package

Location: Manchester city centre

Duration: Permanent

An experienced Health and Safety Manager is required to start for a large Financial Services organisation based in a prominent position in the centre of Manchester.

You must have worked within a management capacity of Health and Safety.

Key Responsibilities of the Health and Safety Manager:

* Monitoring health and safety risks and hazards in the workplace.
* Ensuring the business is legally compliant with all Health and Safety legislation.
* Working with and training all employees to manage, monitor and improve the health and safety standards in the workplace.
* Being responsible for all safety inspections within the workplace.
* Assisting with the creation and management of Health and Safety monitoring systems and policies in the workplace.
* Offering general health and safety advice to all employees.
* Review and develop all aspects of the organisations Health and Safety Policy and activity, and ensure that it is implemented consistently across the company.
* Work proactively with managers and other key staff to establish and maintain a programme of continuous improvement in the management of Health and Safety.

The Person:

To be considered for this role you must have worked as a Health and Safety Manager or within a similar role. Ideally you will have also previously worked within the Financial Services sector, however this is not essential criteria. In return you will receive a highly attractive salary and benefits package as well as working within a convenient city centre location.

A NEBOSH certificate with that also being a Technical member of IOSH is required. To be successful for the position previous experience the Private Sector is desirable. As a Health and Safety Manager fire safety management would be advantageous.
