Job Role: Accounts Assistant

Hours of work: 40 hours per week Monday to Friday (08:30 - 17:30)

Location: Jewellery Quarter, Birmingham

Salary: £18,000 - £20,000

Pure Staff Ltd was launched in 2009 and now has 3 branches in the Midlands making them one of the biggest suppliers of recruitment services within its field to clients in Birmingham and the surrounding areas.

Due to expansion, Pure Staff Ltd are currently recruiting for a capable, friendly candidate to join our small Accounts / Head Office department to assist with credit control, invoicing, purchase ledger tasks and other accounts duties.

Key Accountabilities

* To assist the Credit Control Supervisor with the collection of payments due and about to fall due
* Creating weekly sales invoices
* Ensuring purchase order numbers are obtained and recorded accurately
* Sending out sales invoices by email/post
* Raising credit notes
* Sending customer statements
* Scanning and saving remittance advices
* Entering supplier invoices
* Creating and sending out drivers loyalty boxes
* General office administration, such as filling, and other data entry tasks

You will be expected to perform different tasks as necessitated by your changing role within the organisation and the overall needs of the business as it grows, changes and adapts.

Successful applicants must have the following qualities/experience:

* A good working knowledge of sales & purchase ledger procedure
* Highly organised with good and accurate administrative skills
* Computer literate with good Excel skills
* The ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the organisation
* Committed & hard-working
* A good understanding of confidential issues

Preferred (yet not essential) qualities/experience:

* Experience working in a recruitment agency
* Experience of using Sage Accounts & BrightPay
* Advanced Excel knowledge
