Buyer – Littlehampton

We are currently recruiting for a Buyer to join our busy team in Littlehampton, West Sussex. You will have good previous experience of working as a Buyer to be considered for this role.

Role responsibilities include:

Ensure that Purchase Orders are processed in a timely fashion to ensure delivery schedules / suppliers are met/exceeded
Identifying opportunities for cost savings and liaising with relevant stakeholders
Responsibility of managing suppliers including KPI reporting
Building up strong relationships with suppliers to deliver effective and profitable plans
Negotiating prices with suppliers for new and existing products

This role requires all of the following attributes:

Minimum three years purchasing experience
Commercially astute
Strong financial awareness
Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
Experience working with ERP / MRP systems
Good negotiating skills
Motivated and driven personality
Reliable and committed
A superb team player
A willingness to go above and beyond the call of duty
Process driven and able to multi task effectively
A self-starter with a can-do attitude
Friendly and sociable
