Project Engineer /Automation / up to £38k

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Engineer to join a specialist automation solutions company based in the Northamptonshire area.

THE ROLE
From the agreement of the solution you will be involved in the design and preparation of general arrangement drawings for automated solutions within the warehousing industry. It will be your role to ensure the practical viability of the project, turning the concept into a reality and will ensuring the design intent translates into an engineering solution.
This will include:
- Provision of project estimates, programmes and advisement on safety.
- Design and development of the solution and layouts supported by all documentation.
- Design detail and machinery / equipment specification
- Ensuring the design has constructability and maintainability considering installation and customer support.
- Review of pre-sales concepts and overall solution.
- Source and Propose invitations for supplier and sub-contract tender.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation and participate in project review meetings.
Travel will be required as part of the role, mostly UK within a day travel but may at times be 2-3 days for clients within Europe.


THE CANDIDATE

The successful Project Engineer will preferably have proven experience gained ideally within material handling (conveyors) or automation, storage industry or process Industry and have gained a HNC/HND or equivalent in Mechanical engineering.
You must have a strong understanding of the project process and the ideal candidate will have an excellent understanding of UK health & safety regulations.
