Research Development and Deployment Project Engineer

Profile
A 'hands on' engineer with manufacturing experience capable of driving projects to completion is required, delivering multiple projects both current and future. Experience working with various cutting­ edge technologies focussing on implementation, including the ability to watch, review, analyse and research up and coming Blue Sky Technologies. The ideal candidate will have a mix of academic and practical experience with a capacity and hunger for learning and making tangible improvements to existing established processes. The role will develop the individual to have the breadth and depth to analyse and fix complex issues expediently during projects.

Scope and Responsibilities
• Progress the company strategy and input into the Technology Roadmap for future projects.
• Develop the new R&D area utilising the technology projects already in process.
• Further develop the longer-term capital profile for the next 5 years.
• Deliver capital investment papers linked to the company strategy and ensure delivery of returns on investment expected.
• Work with partners whether industry specialists or academic institutions to progress opportunities to benefit the business.
• Work internally cross functionally to progress new and existing projects to meet targets and integrate into production.
• Be able to plan and see projects to completion using methodical approaches such as TRL's, MCRL's.
• Be able to deploy new technologies fully from concept to validation criterion, championing the projects within the business.
• Understand company process, product and environmental issues and seize opportunities for new technology introduction
• Being able to work cohesively integrating teamwork with operations and engineering teams in a developing matrix organisation.
