Role: Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Commutable from Peterborough

Salary: DOE

My client, a leading designer and manufacturer of bespoke products supplied across the world in a range of sectors. Looking to recruit experienced Manufacturing Engineers to join their development team.

As an Manufacturing Engineer your key responsibilities will be to;

Work flexibly to:

Provide manufacturing technical support for a variety of production lines, processes and diverse range of electromechanical products.

Support manufacturing to achieve production plan OTIF, with a Hands on approach to all manufacturing requirements.

Provide production facilities / assembly aids for existing and new products, providing Risk Assessments, Training and Safe Systems of Work.

Continuously improve both In-house and Sourced Products / Components and assembly processes.

Improving manufacturing techniques to reduce cycle times, remove waste, increase quality and repeatability - including some requirement to travel.

Interface with product development to ensure product is designed for manufacture and NPI seamlessly delivered OTIF.

Contributing to the quality improvement process, with the ethos of getting it right first time.

Creating new process instruction sheets and updating existing instructions to ensure the latest product specifications / ergonomics are adhered to, presented in the most appropriate style using the most effective media and to do so.

Liaise with Suppliers (Internal / external) and Design to expedite solutions.

The successful candidate would have worked within an electromechanical environment, having a range of manufacturing and engineering experience with a can do attitude.

Ideally you would have served a minimum of 5 years within a similar industry. Have a passion for continuous improvement.

Competent in electromechanical manufacture, design for manufacture, tool making, technical writing, root cause analysis, process improvement, hands on engineering, etc. Must have a proven track record of on time delivery for projects and NPI.

Successful candidate will ideally have a proven background, preferably educated to a degree level or equivalent and have knowledge of CAD/CAM, AutoCad and solidworks.
