£21,000-£25,000
Our Client, a leading, UK organisation within the training and assessing sector is currently seeking a Business Skills Assessor to join their dynamic team on a full time, permanent basis in Newcastle Upon Tyne. The suitable candidate will be responsible for playing a critical role to support the provision of Retail and Business Administration apprenticeships to a range of learners.
An ideal candidate will have a full, clean driving license and have experience training/assessing within the Retail or Commercial sector, as well as being a strong leader and motivator.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supporting learners through their specific apprenticeship training and assessment
• Keeping accurate reports and learner records
• Ensuring that learners complete their qualification within contracted timescales
• Assessing and observing candidates in the workplace, and providing feedback to ensure the learning standards are met
• Ensuring that the Business Skills Qualification/Framework deliver is planned to meet the Company’s income target and contract
• Signing off the award when all the achievements have been met
• Agreeing and reviewing assessment plans with learners
• Examining candidate’s portfolio of evidence throughout training to ensure all standards are met
• Maintaining own continuous professional development
Key Skills and Experiences:
• A full, clean driving license
• Previous experience as a Trainer Assessor (Ideally within the Retail or Commercial sectors) OR Retail Industry experience in a Management capacity
• TAQA or A1 (or equivalent) assessor awards ideal
• Strong communication skills
• Sound knowledge of Apprenticeship framework requirements
• Willing to work flexibly and independently
• Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize own workload
• PTTLS and/or CTTLS qualification (desirable)
