Salary; £26,000 - £31,000 per annum
Shift; Monday - Thursday, 7:00am - 5:00pm and Friday 7:00am - 2:00pm
Location; Daventry, Northamptonshire
Commutable from; Crick, Long Buckby, Weedon Bec, Rugby, Banbury, Milton Keynes and Coventry

Our client has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Production Planner/Controller to join their established engineering company based in Daventry. This is a new role to the company and will require a resilient, organised and driven individual. The successful candidate will implement new processes to increase efficiency, ensure production targets are met and customer’s orders are delivered to the agreed SLA.

This is a permanent position and immediately available. This role offers career progression for right candidate.

The Role;
Implement new processes and procedures to ensure Production runs smoothly
Carry out phases of improvement and ensure Production and Production Personnel are fully conversant with the steps that are required to be taken
Project manage each customer order ensuring an excellent level of communication to them at all times
Identify areas of opportunity of improvement and create an action plan
To plan all areas of production through to delivery/despatch to ensure customer orders are delivered on time
To liaise with Production Management and Production Personnel to ensure the plan is achieved and is updated as necessary and that job status is available to be seen by relevant personnel
To ensure that production is planned to achieve optimum efficiency in terms of batch sizes, product sizes, whilst achieving customer requirements and keeping overtime requirements to an agreed level
Monitor and record delivery performance to present to management
Liaise with Purchasing to ensure raw materials or stock are available to meet the production plan
Maintain finished stock/WIP at an agreed level
Liaise between various departments to ensure production targets are met

Proficient in all Microsoft packages
Excellent communicator with the ability to influence and lead a team
Must be capable of making decisions
Analytical approach and problem solving ability
Accuracy and attention to detail
Able to work in a fast paced and high pressured working environment
Must be able to multitask and priorities in accordance with importance
