An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a leading global manufacturer of engineered products as Indirect Buyer. You will be responsible for all Procurment of Indirect categories including Facilities, Utilities, Industrial Supplies, Office Supplies, Packaging, Labour Contract etc.

The Job

Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, as part of your role as Indirect Buyer your key responsibilities will include -

Managing all indirect spend areas such as including Facilities, Utilities, Industrial Supplies, Office Supplies, Packaging, Labour Contract etc
*

Take responsibility for spend, ensuring targeted savings achieved
*

Build a strong network within the Supply Management both at a regional and local level
*

Support the Head of Procurement in development of Purchasing/Category/Supplier strategies
*

Ensure relevant due diligence and buying process is adopted across all categories
*

Provide strategic direction to relevant colleagues, ensuring tactical decisions are aligned to (and enable) future strategies
*

Follows and implements processes and procedures as required that ensure improved purchasing performance in a timely and effective manner.
*

Maintains and communicates the preferred supplier and approved product/service lists to relevant colleagues.
*

Identifies and develops suppliers to support the business.
*

Manages supplier contracts to meet the business needs using robust contracting methods.
*

Prepares and collects data relating to service level agreements and contract performance measures

The Person

Our client are looking for a tenacious, ambitious and cost driven Indirect Buyer looking to make a step in to a fast paced global manufacturing environment.

It is essential you are experienced in Indirect Procurement and have at least 2 years experience in industry. You should have a minimum of CIPS Level 4 but be open to developing this in to full MCIPS. You should have strong stakeholder and relationship management skills and a confident negotiator.

Ideally you will have experience in fast paced manufacturing and be degree educated.
