Independent Engineering Consultancy with an international network of offices are seeking to appoint an Electrical Associate / Associate Director with a background in Electrical Building Services Design to join their niche critical facilities division in Surrey. Reporting into a Board Director the successful individual will become a key player within the division leading on electrical issues for complex datacentre developments across Europe, working with blue chip firms from house hold names in the Social Media and Internet space, to co-location providers and international clients within finance & banking. The role offers a path for the successful individual to progress into a Director level position and as such will suit an ambitious Electrical Building Services Design Engineer who is seeking an environment where there is the support, opportunity for advancement and exposure to working with some of the World's Leading Tech companies.

As a senior member of the Critical Services Division you will be involved in all aspects of project winning and delivery, from client engagement through design and technical support on live projects, responsibilities will include;

* Work within the leadership team you will lead on the electrical building services elements of projects across design and technical advice,
* Establishing and developing of client specifications,
* Lead on the development of conceptual electrical design solutions to achieve client intent,
* Supervise the completion of detailed electrical building services designs,
* Consider the feasibility of the project specific to the discipline and lead the overall feasibility study for the project.
* Lead on the production of detailed and performance specification for electrical services,
* Lead in the production of detailed equipment schedules for issue with the discipline specific designs.
* Take responsibility for and direct others in the production of detailed calculations appropriate to the project,
* Carry out condition surveys for the discipline for combining into to an overall report,
* Carry out the role of project director reporting to the client on all day-to-day and overall project issues.
* Be able to demonstrate acceptable technical writing skills.
* Take a lead role in design team meetings to represent your technical discipline,
* Take a leadership role in the training of staff in a line manager capacity.

To be considered applicants must hold a stable background and be able to demonstrate technical excellence in Electrical Building Services Design, to include expertise in standby generator and UPS systems installations, HV/MV and Power Distribution. Project exposure within the Data Centre market is ideal although with expertise in other critical facilities such as the Healthcare, Power Generation, Laboratory & Research sectors are encouraged to apply. You will also hold CEng status and a degree in a related electrical, power or building services subject. Additionally, is essential you are currently eligible to work within the United Kingdom without restrictions.
