Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant who has experience of working with children who has English as their second language?

Celsian Education are working with a primary school in Bolton who are looking for someone like you. The role is set to start after the Easter break.

It is essential that the successful candidate has a relevant qualification that allows them to be a teaching assistant, as well as experience of working with children whose first language is not English. They are looking for two experienced EAL Teaching Assistants, who are able to work with children on a 1:1 basis and within small groups.

You will be working alongside the class teachers and other teaching assistants to support children in their attainment and progress. You will need to be adaptable accordingly to the needs of the individual children you work with, and make observations and carry out sessions instructed by the teacher to improve progress.

Ideally you will have:
· Strong experience in Key stage 1 and Key stage 2
· Have experience of working with children with English as an additional language
· Mainstream experience working with SEN pupils
· Contribute an enthusiastic and creative approach to learning
The salary is highly competitive and will be dependant on experience
All candidates will be expected to provide references to cover the last 2 years of employment, 1 of which will need to be education based and also be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and all candidates are expected to provide an in-date or to undergo enhanced DBS checks.
