Exciting opportunity for a Senior Technical Fire Alarm Engineer to be based from our clients Head Office in Basingstoke. You will be responsible for commissioning and overseeing the service and installation of systems and equipment on client sites across the UK.

Key Responsibilities

• You will manage the commissioning and servicing of client’s systems. You will assist or lead with the development, installation, commission and support of customer fire systems.
• To provide technical support to the service team, existing and potential customers on products and services.
• To assist in the requirements that capture upgrade and design of future systems
• Maintain Client Relationships – Client relationships are a key part of this role. A healthy relationship with all clients is essential to the completion of all projects.
• Provide Pre-Construction Guidelines – Before a project begins, you will be expected to provide the rest of the team with guidance. This guidance can take the form of drawings, budgets and procedural modifications.
• Inspect sites – Once a project is underway, you will frequently travel to the site in order to perform thorough inspections. These inspections are focused on electrical systems, structural integrity, materials used, safety codes and industry standards.
• Create Documentation – You will record and document all information regarding projects to include all problems and solutions required.
• Propose Changes – On completion of a project you will analyse and interpret everything that has happened over the course of the project. You will provide ways to improve the company’s practices
• Supervision and assistance with apprentices
• You will be required to be on Call Out for engineering works during system break down or faults; on call rota with others.

Experience Required:

• You will demonstrate that you have 5 years plus suitable experience in Main Building Fire Alarm Systems to undertake this role.
• BAFE SP2031
• FIA Units 1 – 6
• CITB Supervisor SSTS
• Full driving licence
