Our clients are market leaders in aluminium extrusion and assembly in supplying world leading manufacturers across a variety of industries including Automotive and Construction. Due to recent expansion they now require a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their growing team.

Main duties will include:

Working to company Health & Safety and environmental policies at all times

Carrying out predictive, preventative and planned maintenance as required

First-line contact for immediate reaction to emergency break-down on plant, equipment and building

Liaising with Engineers and Line Leaders to coordinate repairs and improvements

Good knowledge of plant process and the ability to operate all equipment to a high standard

Understanding internal quality specifications and standards

Liaising with suppliers and contractors

The successful candidate will ideally have previous experience within a metal or heavy manufacturing environment and hold a recognised qualification i.e. Electrical or Mechanical NVQ or City & Guilds.

To be considered for this role you will need the ability to read and understand electrical drawings alongside PLC fault diagnosis experience. An understanding of LEAN manufacturing would be highly advantageous.

Working a Day shift (either 7-3am or 3-11am) in return our client are offering a negotiable salary pus benefits including a private healthcare, company pension, 27 days holiday plus bank holidays and paid overtime.

Due to the nature of the role, an element of flexibility will be required as there may ocassionally be an expectation of cover on opposite shifts due to sickness or holiday. There will also be travel between sites on an adhoc basis.

The role is based in the West Midlands and is commutable from Redditch and Birmingham.
