About the role: As one of our new Product Managers working on our exciting range of scientific journals, you will focus on managing and developing key components of our publishing value chain. Proactively engaging with customers on a regular basis will be second nature to you, and you will be their voice within IOP Publishing. Driving cross functional working, you will develop the product roadmap to meet our wider vision to offer our customers the best experience when publishing with IOP. As a keen advocate of Agile delivery, you will develop an in depth understanding of the publishing and production value chain to maximise the rate of delivery of change. You will always be on the look-out for ways to continuously improve our journal publishing services. With your finger on the pulse of the academic publishing industry and wider IT trends, you will keep abreast of new technologies and vendors to support the roadmap and ensure that the most appropriate vendors are being used. Comfortable defining the long-term strategy and vision for your product, you will be adept at managing stakeholders at all levels to ensure initiatives are closely aligned with wider business priorities and aspirations. Working with external vendors, you will ensure that they deliver on time, to budget and within the expected quality standards. About you: Applicants should demonstrate: • Certified Scrum Product Owner (desired) • Lean Six Sigma Greenbelt (desired) • Demonstrable data-driven approach to decision making, utilising validated customer feedback and insights as well as business metrics to make decisions • Experience of continuous improvement and ideally lean methodology. • Expert user of all relevant analytical and reporting tools. • Excellent communicator, face to face and written. • Exceptional influencing and stakeholder management skills. • Excellent change management and prioritisation skills About the benefits: In addition to a competitive salary, we offer employees a comprehensive benefits package including an excellent pension scheme, discretionary annual bonus scheme, private medical insurance, life assurance and generous annual leave, and a range of flexible benefits including childcare vouchers and gym membership.
