POST: PROJECT MANAGER - LEAN/SIX SIGMA

LOCATION: DONCASTER

OUTLINE: To work with external clients to manage and deliver projects/programmes to allotted time frames and budgets and to deliver agreed objectives, and coach and support team members in order to develop Lean capability and transfer knowledge and meet all clients' objectives.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Relationship Management

* To develop the relationship with the Client, through Project/Programme implementation. To establish a credible and valued working relationship at all levels of the business.
* To engage and communicate effectively with different levels of the organisation and stakeholders
* To communicate effectively and work to support team

Delivery

* Develop project plans for all activity, manage the plan effectively through the prioritisation and delegation of tasks and identify countermeasures for all off target items to ensure the successful delivery of the projects and achievement of objectives.
* Conduct detailed diagnostics to establish current state operations and current performance.
* Identify improvement opportunities a
* Synthesise findings drawing conclusions and implications from data analysis. Identify the more immediate short-term win opportunities.
* Design an improved future state, setting future state targets, KPI's and objectives,
* Develop & deliver quality reports/feedback presentations to clients (including plans to meet objectives) at agreed frequency and complete cases study for all work.
* Work with and coach teams at a client site to develop capability and gain trust and support for the project.
* Contribute to the development of the business to deliver effective results and sustainable transformation.
* Consistently apply Lean principles.
* Ensure consistency and standardisation with clients and ensure that the correct methodologies are applied and followed
* Identify potential sell on' opportunities and manage them through with the Head of Practice

* Demonstrate commitment to personal development, maintain development portfolio and actively develop own skills and competencies to support client engagement, practice development and personal career progression

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:-

* Operational experience of Lean philosophy and methodology
* 1-2 years' experience deploying Lean tools and Techniques
* Experience of managing projects and delivering objectives to timescales
* 1-2 years facilitation experience
* Experience in the delivery of training
* Coaching skills
* Six Sigma Yellow Belt
* Time and task management and organisational skills
* Presentation skills
* Data analysis skills
* Good MS Office Skills

DESIRABLE CRITERIA:-

* Experience of Lean implementation in a variety of environments
* Six Sigma Green Belt
