IT Support Engineer
I.T. Support Technician – Kentish Town - £22,000 + Benefits (Mac, PC’s, Linux, Networking, Firewalls, Cabling, Security) We're on the hunt for an IT Support Technician to manage and improve the in-office IT infrastructure including hardware, software, security, policies and processes. What you will do: ● Catalogue and manage all IT assets within the office e.g: computers, printers, network equipment, monitors, projectors. ● Ensure all computers are up to date and secure with the latest operating system version, patches, anti-virus etc. ● Maintain strict security policies on all user accounts to have strong passwords and two-factor authentication. ● Provide general IT support for all office and home users. Resolving hardware/software issues. Procuring and installing software. ● Improve and follow the new starter checklist to ensure smooth on-boarding for all new staff and, similarly, improve and follow the leaver checklist to ensure timely blocking of access to resources by staff who have left, thereby maintaining system security. ● Manage the office network including the firewall, wifi access points, network switches and cabling. ● Setup all SaaS accounts centrally and manage user access to them as and when needed. ● Grant and revoke various levels of admin access to staff on the company website as required. Continually improve our IT support function by adopting best practices. Specifically for 2018 we would like to : ○ Centralise the software installation / updating for all computers ○ Centralise an anti-virus solution What you must have: ● Patience, a friendly manner and a service oriented attitude to assist staff in their daily work. ● A thorough understanding of managing Macs and PCs and troubleshooting thereof. ● Knowledge of security best practices. ● A good understanding of networking concepts and physical networking infrastructure including firewalls, routers, switches and cabling.
