Custard is currently offering a fantastic recruitment opportunity for a number of technicians. We are looking for experienced 2nd and 3rd line IT support technicians, acting in key positions providing technical support to our clients. This will involve working with various applications and systems to analyse, diagnose and solve issues from the office, whilst also possibly travelling out to some of our clients to provide support onsite..

Your main responsibilities will include but are not restricted to:
- Providing first class support to our customers via telephone, e-mail, remote desktop or on-site.
- Strong knowledge and solid experience of Microsoft desktop and server operating systems, ranging from Windows Server (Apply online only) R2 and Windows XP to Windows 10.
- Experience with administering and troubleshooting Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange.
- An understanding of core network protocols (TCP/UDP).
- An understanding of DHCP/DNS protocols and experience with associated applications.
- Experience with network hardware such as Routers/Firewalls/Switches/Wireless Access Points.
- An understanding of firewall and VPN operations.
- Hardware configuration and troubleshooting.
- Linux experience would be beneficial.
- Experience with virtualisation technologies would also be beneficial.
- Microsoft Azure experience and 365 would also be beneficial
- Ensuring constant and consistent communication for any open requests.
- Identify common questions to create help articles and frequently asked questions for end users.
- Perform hands-on fixes at both a software and hardware level
- Be proactive, respond to and improve upon monitoring alerts to help reduce incidents.
- Analytical approach with good questioning and listening skills.
- Confident phone manner and strong written communication skills.
- Excellent customer service skills, with an understanding of call handling, prioritisation and escalations.
- Ability to work well in a team and also solely;
- Confident and self-motivated, with a positive ‘can-do’ attitude.
- Experience of using and troubleshooting the Microsoft Office Suite.
Salary from £20,000 - £30,000 depending on experience, the position includes A laptop and mobile phone, and depending on experience may include a company car
