Role: Desktop Support engineer Location: Stoke on Trent Salary: £18,000-£20,000 A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Desktop Support Engineer to join a fast-growing insurance company in Stoke on Trent. Role: Taking ownership and responsibility calls logged Resolving issues or delegate more technical/complex tasks to team members Supporting mobile devices Performing restoration of files for users Logging reports Preventative maintenance to PC/LAPTOPS/SERVERS Provide assistance to the wider IT team Skills required: Excellent telephone manor Strong working Knowledge of Microsoft based operating systems with emphasis on Windows XP, Windows 7 and Windows 8 Some networking experience and understanding of TCP/IP Good problem solving and analytical skills A keen interest in IT and new technology Flexible, pro-active approach and a willingness to learn Basic understanding of PC hardware set-up and configuration A good understanding of MS Office including outlook, Microsoft word, Excel and PowerPoint This is a fantastic opportunity for a Desktop Support Engineer who is seeking career progression in a fast-growing successful company with a dynamic working environment.
