Job Title – Facilities Shift Technician Location – Oldham Hours – 42 hours per week, 2 On/2 Off/3 On/2 Off/2 On/3 Off Type – Temporary (6 months) Salary – Up to £31k basic with 38% shift allowance Job Title Facilities Shift Technician The Role To repair, service and monitor plant and equipment, to operate plant and plant monitoring systems and provide 365 x 24 cover to respond to emergencies, plant malfunctions, alarms and breakdowns. Key Responsibilities: • Preventative maintenance, modification and repair to plant and equipment • Daily routine tasks for the provision of high purity water to manufacturing • Monitoring and maintaining Gas Detection and BMS systems • Maintaining process cooling, compressed air, vacuum, bulk gas, effluent, heating and electrical systems • Maintaining an effective response to plant malfunctions, alarms and breakdowns The Candidate • NVQ Level 3, ONC or equivalent in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or Building Services • NVQ Level 2 in a second discipline desirable or a willingness to work towards • HNC in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Proven experience in a Facilities Maintenance role • Knowledge of H&V plant and high purity water production • Fault finding, diagnostic, communication, numeric and literacy skills • Knowledge of safe systems of work • Knowledge of computerised gas detection and B.M.S, systems • Electrical bias Air conditioning experience • Mechanical experience • Clean room experience • Stacker truck experience • Previous experience in manufacturing plant/water/chemical/chilling plants Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Self-motivation with positive attitude to work and ability to work with minimum direct supervision • Reliability and the willingness to support and react to the business needs • Computer literacy • Practical application of the use of a wide variety of tools • Flexibility to adapt to changing business requirements • Customer focus The Company Our client is a leading global manufacturer and supplier of application products in the electronics, computing, communications, industrial, and automotive markets.
