DT Teacher - North Somerset - Immediate start
Simply Education are working with a Secondary school in the North Somerset area who require a D&T Teacher to cover a long-term absence. The role will commence on the 19th February and run to the Easter holidays with the likelihood of extending on to the end of the academic year. The school is looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic teacher who is passionate about their specialism. You will be required to teach lessons to KS3 and KS4 students in Product Design, Resistant Materials and Graphics. We are looking for teachers who have the expertise and vision to develop high standards and expectations of pupil achievement and behaviour. You will need to be a creative and positive teacher who is able to embrace new surroundings and situations, whilst demonstrating a professional manor at all times. You will have good classroom management skills with the ability to adapt. You will need to have an enthusiasm for teaching, be organised, punctual and enjoy teaching pupils of varying abilities and age groups. Simply Education are looking for Secondary school teachers who are able to deliver high quality lessons which support the learning of their pupils. As the successful Design & Technology Teacher you will need to: - Have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), or be a Newly Qualified Teacher (NQT) with a PGCE, GTP or a Bachelor in Education. - Have a minimum of 6 months experience of teaching within the UK curriculum at Key Stage 3 (KS3), Key Stage 4 (KS4) and/or Key Stage 5 (KS5). - Be a flexible and confident individual who has a creative approach to teaching. - Have effective classroom management skills and techniques. - Be adaptable, reliable and enthusiastic. - Communicate effectively with children, support staff and other teaching staff. - Be professional, passionate and committed to developing the knowledge and confidence of children. - Have enthusiasm for the subjects you teach. - Have the ability to manage classes effectively and deal with challenging behaviour successfully.
