Network Engineer - Watford We are working on behalf of a leading American Luxury Fashion company who are seeking to engage with a talented and experienced Network Engineer, who has experience in supporting and maintain our customers Retail Network Infrastructure. SUMMARY This position is responsible for support of our customers Retail Network infrastructure – LAN/WAN. Primary responsibilities include supporting reliable, state of the market network solutions. You will be responsible for providing detailed reports on network performance, work closely with vendor partners for network support and ensure service level compliance. Also responsible for assisting with installation and maintenance of network systems; including routers, switches, wireless monitoring and management systems, and will also assist in the coordination of the Ralph Lauren Store Network circuit ordering and delivery. Other duties include serving as first point of escalation for network issues and providing network performance reports. You will also support Network projects, assist with hardware and software installation, troubleshoot and resolve network performance issues and review POS infrastructure for new store construction. Coordinating with third party vendors, providing Service Level compliance data and participating in On-Call rotation will also be required. SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS: Qualified candidates must have an in-depth understanding of local and wide area network concepts – IP routing, switching technologies, VLANs, ACLs, Cisco equipment and operating systems, including configuration. Three to six years (3-6) of technical work experience is required; a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or Industry recognised certifications (CCNE, CCNA, MSCE) is preferred. Strong technical, troubleshooting, written and oral communication skills with a proven track record for success are imperative. The ability to work with minimal supervision and a working knowledge of Microsoft windows environment is highly desired. REQUIREMENTS: Cisco certified/Trained or must be familiar with Cisco IOS/Equipment, CCENT (Routing & Switching) or CCNA/CCNP. Task includes but not limited to: Switch/Router configurations Switching/Routing protocols BGP, EIGRP VLANs Connectivity troubleshooting Wireless AP Configuration/Maintenance Remote replacement of equipment Monitor network performance and work with corporate network and security team to enhance/maintain or troubleshoot issues. Experience with Meraki technology; Ability to produce clear network drawings / documentation; Wi-Fi networks configuration / coverage / implement; Vendor Management Strong understanding of Networking technologies TCP/IP, NetBIOS, Firewalls In-depth knowledge of Windows 2007/2010 Server, SQL Server, (MCSE/MCSA certified is a +) Organized and have good communication skills, oral and written. A plus if have remote/phone support experience Able to lift up to 50lbs (G9 Servers) ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS (PREFERRED): Desktop hardware support/repair experience Proficient with MS Office Applications Worked or have experience with Deployment tools such as SCCM and/or Symantec Altiris Retail Industry Experience Due to the large numbers of responses we receive, despite our best efforts it is not always possible to respond to every application.
