Heathrow Hydrant Operating Company Ltd is looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join its team at Heathrow Airport. The purpose of this role is to support and drive the maintenance and engineering programmes of the company, with the Company Engineer, to maintain safe and reliable operation of the tank farms and hydrant systems. The Maintenance Engineer will maintain critical systems to a high standard and in a timely and cost-effective manner. As a Maintenance Engineer your key responsibilities include: · Showing visible HSSE commitment and compliance with HSSE legislation, with the aim of there being no HSSE incidents and or accidents. · Demonstrating a good mechanical understanding and problem-solving skills. · Ensuring Planned Preventative Maintenance of the critical plant systems is up to date. · Working to deliver sufficient planned preventative resources. Ensuring any issues are resolved and reporting any items that cannot be rectified to the Company Engineer. · Managing and carrying out maintenance and engineering work to the plant and hydrant, ensuring a safe and uninterrupted operation of plant and hydrant systems. · Conducting routine checks of the plant to ensure equipment is safe and in good operable order. · Conducting routine checks of critical plant and systems. · Managing and carrying out operational and maintenance analysis of rotating equipment, such as Vibration Analysis on pump systems. · Ensuring that maintenance tasks are carried out in line with procedures and ensuring that the risk to process safety incidents and or accidents have been reduced to a level as low as reasonably practicable. · Knowing and understanding the implications of the Control of Major Accident Hazard regulations. · Leading engineering work on the plant and hydrant systems. Ensuring works are carried out safely and within the time frame given. · Carrying out and delivering competence assessments to ensure all team members have the required level of competence. Together with excellent problem solving and leadership skills, the ideal candidate will have: · Mechanical plant knowledge. · Good verbal and written communications skills, IT Skills. · Good planning and organisational skills. · Self-motivation, ability to organise and prioritise own work. · HND or equivalent in engineering, professional qualification with over 6 years’ experience. Role details: Salary: £40,000 Contracted hours: 08.00 - 16.30 Shift pattern: Monday to Friday including some nights and weekends Training is provided for this role.
