Lead Software Implementation Consultant Lead Software Implementation Consultant ideally with a strong academic background, a solid background in COTS or bespoke software implementation, consulting experience and advanced project management skills required to lead and guide within a sizable PMO and be hugely instrumental in servicing a glittering array of exciting global blue chip clients for a growing technology company with a complex Saas product and a vibrant, friendly culture based in central London. Responsibilities as a Lead Consultant: Programme Delivery & Project Management Overall responsibility for the management of end-to-end delivery programmes, which can run across a number of years Accountability for delivery according to project budget, time and quality standards Manage all phases of the project delivery lifecycle, including initiation, requirements gathering, design & build, client UAT, launch and transition to service Day-to-day project management oversight, ensuring that all tasks and key milestones are delivered on client projects on time and within budget Manage project teams and relevant internal specialists to successfully deliver client projects Manage key stakeholders both internally and externally to ensure a successful relationship, through regular client and internal updates, participation in Steering Committees, etc. Provide guidance and expertise during requirements gathering and documentation sessions with clients, ensuring that programme scope and guidelines are adhered to Manage and report on programme and project budgets Manage the Change Control process with clients, ensuring that all changes are subject to robust impact assessment and are incorporated effectively Displaying commercial awareness at all times, including management of and reporting on project budgets The Lead Consultant may also be involved in the hands-on design and specification of interfaces or benefit configuration Process Development & Improvement Actively participate in process development and improvement activities, either as a part of official process improvement projects, of through making continuous improvement suggestions Business Development Supporting the New Business team in technical pre-sales consulting and pitching Responding to technical or project related questions as part of prospects' RFI/RFP processes Business Case analysis, compilation and delivery People Management Line Management of Consultants or Associate Consultants in the SD team The option for involvement in additional responsibilities in Pod Leading around resourcing, mentoring & quality assurance tracking Skills: Strong demonstrable project management and organisation skills, ideally within a recognised methodology Excellent relationship and stakeholder management skills - ability to create and maintain long lasting client relationships A proactive approach and the ability to take initiative, make decisions and deliver results A flexible communicator, facilitator, influencer and problem solver Ability to multi-task and prioritise time effectively Demonstrable commercial awareness Able to work calmly in a pressured environment People and team management skills are desired, but not essential Demonstrable Experience Extensive success managing & delivering multi-phased software projects Experience working with high-profile clients on a global or multi-national basis Experience using PPM tools to monitor project progress and budgets Previous experience of HRIT systems (HRIS, payroll, benefits administration) highly desirable Person Profile The successful candidate will be a strong project leader, looking to take the next step in their career; a passionate team player, who is able to lead from the front and become an integral part of the team.
