Training & Development Manager
We have a new opportunity for a commercially-minded individual with a background in running a Training Centre to join a sizeable research organisation as Training and Development Manager. The focus of the role is the design, delivery and implementation of up-to-date client training provision across the Company. The successful candidate will assume responsibility for identifying the next generation of training and will develop opportunities for further training programmes. The main focus will be to manage the design and delivery of training, some of which will be hands-on and some outsourced; ensuring a high quality offering is maintained. You will assist managers to assess training needs and then design training programmes, developing a training panel to identify correct provision and will support specialist lecturers to assist in ensuring content is relevant to all stakeholders. You will need to plan time and resources efficiently as you implement training programmes and manage the team of outsourced trainers and identify new potential lecturers. This role involves working closely with Business Managers to identify new potential revenue streams and also liaising regularly with the Marketing team to promote different training programmes. The ideal candidate will need to have experience in running a training centre, where they have also liaised regularly with outsourced trainers and lecturers. You will also need to have a commercial mind-set to identify new revenue streams and will be experienced in training needs analysis and in designing and delivering training programmes.
